Remembrance

I started quilting 10 years and 1 day ago, a day I will never forget. In remembrance of 911, we as a class did a patriotic block swap. This is my finished quilt, made 10 years ago .... in remembrance.

What a wonderful, beautiful, Quilt!! Thank you to midnight madness girl friend Adela! Adela brought this quilt to share in class at midnight madness, and generously offered to loan it to me at Fat Quarters Quilt Shop!! I am a very lucky girl!!! If you need patterns, give us a call! If you can stop by the shop to take a look -- she has done a FABULOUS job with her wool hand applique and embroidery -- you MUST see a close-up of the eyes!

ROW QUILT RUN STARTS TODAY

The San Diego Row Quilt Run starts today! Eight shops in eight days... Saturday September 3 through Saturday September 10, 2011. (a lot of the shops will be closed on Sunday and closed for the Labor Day Holiday on Monday -- So check 1st before hitting the road!).

Just got word that Jo Morton's NEW BOOK -- BANNER DAY -- Will arrive at the shop this Wednesday June 1st... I can't wait!!

A TRUNK Show!

We are having a TRUNK SHOW and the quilts are now on display in the shop... Cheryl Wall's Country Quilts promoting Cheryl's book "Country Comforts". The quilts are beautiful, come take a look... and as an added enticement... the 1st four people to purchase Country Comforts receive a Cheryl Wall autograph!
